Kevin Swan spent 21 years serving in the United States Marine Corps, where he developed expertise in supply chain management, recruiting, and personnel management. The discipline, attention to detail, and commitment to service that defined his military career became the foundation for everything Ibis Properties stands for.
Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, Kevin carries a deep pride in his Caribbean heritage. The company's name and iconic Scarlet Ibis logo pay homage to Trinidad's national bird — a symbol of elegance, resilience, and vibrant beauty. That same spirit infuses every property we manage.
After retiring from the Marines, Kevin founded Ibis Properties in Portland, Oregon in 2021 with a clear mission: to provide furnished housing that genuinely feels like home. Not just a place to sleep, but a space where professionals can decompress, recharge, and thrive during their stay.
Today, Ibis Properties manages a growing portfolio of 20+ premium furnished homes across Oregon, serving travel nurses, relocating executives, corporate teams, and professionals in transition. With national expansion on the horizon, Ibis is building the infrastructure to become a premier housing provider across the country.
